SADA Packaging is a division of the SADA Group. The company produces cutting dies and microflute cardboard rolls for leading customers in the food sector. This means they have to comply with strict safety requirements and high-quality standards. During the summer months, their 12,000 m² production facility became too hot for both people and processes. The high temperature affected the comfort of operators, but also the stability of ink, glue and sensitive electronic components in the production line.
To improve the indoor climate and at the same time meet their sustainability objectives, SADA Packaging opted for Oxycom's energy-efficient two-stage adiabatic cooling system. The result: greater comfort, stable process conditions and a 15% increase in productivity.

During hot periods, temperatures on the work floor spiked significantly. This had a negative impact on both employee comfort and the stability of the production process. Cardboard is hygroscopic (water-attracting) and therefore sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. Ink, paint and electronic components within the production lines also reacted poorly to the heat. SADA Packaging was looking for a sustainable cooling solution that would improve working conditions without increasing energy consumption or affecting humidity.
Together with our partner CleverClima, SADA Packaging initially evaluated two scenarios: a pilot project for selected production and storage areas, and a full-scale solution for the entire facility. Based on expected comfort, process stability and sustainability performance, they opted for a complete factory-wide installation.
The system provides:
The installation was completed within the planned timeframe, without disrupting the production process. Compared to other technologies on the market, the two-stage adiabatic cooling solution was chosen because it fits SADA Group’s sustainability strategy. It allowed them to upgrade their cooling system without increasing environmental impact, avoiding traditional refrigerants and energy-intensive heat pumps.

After installation, the difference was immediately noticeable:
The supply of fresh air significantly increased comfort for operators.
Employees gave positive feedback about air quality and job satisfaction.
Process stability increased; problems with ink, paint and electronics reduced to almost zero.
In July 2025, production was 15% higher than in July 2024.
Cardboard quality remained stable.
“We would recommend this technology to other companies in our sector. It allowed us to modernise our cooling system without increasing our environmental footprint or affecting the properties of our hygroscopic cardboard. We can truly say we made a functional, sustainable and well-supported choice.”
